Hot Chocolate Day

Supporting your Air Ambulance Charity

31st January 2020

Support your Air Ambulance Charity

Air Ambulances rely on charitable donations to be able to provide life saving care and world class medical resources for patients all across the UK. Each mission undertaken by an Air Ambulance helicopter costs in the region of £2500 and with 70 missions carried out across the UK every single day keeping this vital service airborne is no mean feat. So get involved and raise money for your Air Ambulance on 31st January 2020.

An inspirational story of how vital the work of Air Ambulances is.

Going the extra mile
Alongside the vital work of the airborne service several UK air ambulance charities also operate rapid response vehicles, cardiac cars and critical care cars. These are deployed to emergencies in areas that might not be easily accessible for a helicopter, such as heavily built up city centres. Midlands Air Ambulance Charity deploys its road based response vehicles 3000 times each year to emergencies where rapid critical care is needed. The annual cost for this part of the Charity’s work alone is £750,000.
